Itinerary

DAY 1 and 2- Arrive Cochin

  • On arrival you will met by our representative at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
  • Check in at the Hotel (CIMD)
  • Overnight stay in Kandy.
  • Afternoon, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Cochin. The tour begins from “The Dutch Palace (closed on Fridays)” also known as Mattancherry Palace, built by Portugues in 1555, which is famous for its murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana and the puranic legends. Adjacent to the palace is the Jewish Synagogue (closed on every Fridays from 13.00 Hrs & Saturdays full day) built in 1568. Also visit the St. Francis Church (closed on Sundays), established by the Portuguese Franciscan friars in 1503. Vasco Da Gama was buried in the courtyard of this European church built in India. Other attractions include the traditional fishing hamlets and the fisher folk in their colorful costumes. The tour also includes a visit to the seaside where one can still see the, nearly a century old Chinese fishing nets, which, are still in use.
  • Evening, witness a Kathakali dance performance at a local theatre, performed by various artists. Kathakali is a traditional dance form, depicting Indian epics (Ramayana and Mahabharata). The dancers are dressed in very colorful and elaborate costumes. Their faces are painted to depict various characters of these epics. This dance has a lot of facial expressions and brisk, yet articulate body movements. Return to the hotel, Dinner & overnight.

Day 3 - Cochin - Munnar(130 kms/4hrs)

  • Early Breakfast at the Hotel, After breakfast proceed to Munnar and check in at the hotel. Afternoon proceed visiting Devikulam is a panoramic hill station near Munnar. With its beautiful valleys and high majestic mountains, Devikulam is a must visit. Visiting Rajmalai, the tourism zone of the famous Eravikulam National Park at an altitude of 8,983 feet above sea level. Which is home to the rare species of mountain goat, “The NiligiriTahr”. The National Park houses a large variety of flora and fauna; moreover, the beauty of the park is unparalleled. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel, after breakfast proceed for a visit the tea estate garden & factory and tea museum in Munnar(Closed on Monday) . Afternoon, proceed to Periyar and check in at the hotel. Evening at leisure, dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 4 - In Periyar

  • Early morning enjoy tea / coffee at the Hotel, After an early morning Tea / coffee, proceed to Lake Boat cruise is the best mode in Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary to watch the wildlife from a close distance. The Periyar Lake is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the area. Elephants are the most common wildlife you can see on the shores of the reservoir. Apart from Elephants, the sight of Wild Boar and Sambar Deer, macaques and Langurs etc. also possible, depending on your luck. Return to the hotel for breakfast.
  • Afternoon visit Spice plantations which is famous for nature walking. You can also spot many unique birds that visit the plantation for food. You can taste fresh spices from the plant. Some plantations provide a tasting lunch in which the food is cooked with the fresh spice from the plantation. The plantation will be divided into sections and each section will be covered with specific plants like vanilla, ginger, cardamom, clove, nutmeg and others . Evening return to the hotel and overnight return to the hotel, Dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 5 - Periyar - Alleppy

  • Breakfast at the Hotel. After Breakfast proceed to Allephy(130 KM / 4 Hrs) Arrive Alleppeyand check in at the House Boat. Enjoy the scenes in Kerala country side in a backwater cruise -skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed down paddy fields, local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes and swaying coconut palms. The Boat will be anchor at 5.30 PM. Dinner in houseboat. Overnight at the House boat.(All Meals will be served at the House boat).

DAY 6 - Alleppey - Kovalam

  • Breakfast at the house boat. After Breakfast check out and proceed to Kovalam (160 KM. / 5 Hrs.) Arrive Kovalam and check in at the hotel . Afternoon Sightseeing of Trivandrum visiting Padmanabha Swamy Temple:SriPadmanabha Swamy Temple sits in the heart of the city of Trivandrum. The residing deity of this temple is Lord Vishnu. The temple is managed by the former royal family of Travancore. The temple is designed beautifully in the Dravidian style.
  • Napier Museum, Chitira Art Gallery: Both Napier Museum and SreeChithra Art Gallery are situated in the Museum compound, right in the heart of the city, near the zoological park. Napier Museum built in the 19th century, this Indo-Saracenic structure boasts a natural air-conditioning system and houses a rare collection of archaeological and historic artefacts, bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and ivory carvings. Kovalam Beach: Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favourite haunt of tourists, especially Europeans, since the 1930s. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing. Return to the hotel and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 7 - In kovalam

  • Breakfast at the Hotel. Full day at leisure for the Individual activities. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 8

  • Breakfast at the Hotel and depart for onward destination.
